More baseball stuff: I had to laugh yesterday reading about Joe Torre bemoaning his lot managing the Yankees this season. Torre, the beneficiary of a lot of Buck Showalter and Gene Michael‘s hard work is now faced with the task of proving just how good a manager he is this season.
The Yankees with baseball’s biggest payroll are finding out they can’t buy championships like they thought they could.
Poor Yankees… poor, poor Yankees.
Maybe the Yankees will go all the way but, they’re looking awfully beatable now. Sure they have the American League’s best record (not by much though) but, look at their record versus Boston, Seattle, Chicago, Oakland and Kansas City this year.
